‘It’s called fashion marketing, look it up’

Confident with the brand’s position in the industry and looking to embrace new ideas and release himself from some of the day-to-day activity, the Founder engaged clockworkTalent, under the guidance of his business coach Marco. Amongst a number of other initiatives, Marco introduced the idea of using a specialist recruiter to ensure the best marketing talent was found and successfully onboarded into the business.

I guess we’re a little unusual in how closely we support our employers in making the right decisions as well as not forgetting to handhold the job seekers who are trying to find the ‘right’ job for themselves.
This recruitment project was personally interesting as Urban Industry’s warehouse and office are about 15 minutes from my childhood home in Sussex. Discussing the role with Dan, we refined the job description and even changed the job title when we realised it wasn’t attracting quite the right type of applicants. We both knew the job title wasn’t really important for the business but it would be to the individual. We eventually chose the title of ‘Creative Strategist’ and immediately received some really high-quality applicants.
The interview process narrowed the shortlist and we eventually hired the amazing Claire into the role. Here’s what Claire said about our part in her landing her new job:

It’s still early days in Claire’s career at Urban Industry but the feedback I’ve been getting is that she’s exceptional! Not only is she already bringing new ideas and initiatives but she’s really impacting the business with her passion.
