Do You Dream Of Working For A Charity?

A frequent response from jobseekers when I ask them “what’s the long-term ambition?” is to tell me they want to work for a charity. To be working for a company where they’re using their digital marketing skills but contributing to making the world a better place.

We’ve just made that dream come true for Chandika Chilpia. As she has joined The Children’s Society as their SEO & PPC Officer.

“…the most professional and supportive recruiter I have ever had the pleasure of working with”

The Children’s Society provides life-changing support for vulnerable children and is very invested in their digital marketing. Most recently they’ve strengthened their inhouse team, which Chandika has now joined. They’ve also got the support of specialist agencies. Chandika manages those agency relationships and by working closely with them will be accelerating her own learning.

For the interview, I ensured Chandika had all the information she needed to prepare and it’s evident she’d put in the time. Chandika was offered the job after just one face to face interview and the feedback told me she’d clearly brought her a-game. They said she’d been relaxed and allowed her clear passion, sound knowledge and experience to shine through.

“…an expert in recruitment for digital marketing with a streak of intuitiveness that I have never seen before…”

I’d spent time with Chandika to ensure all her questions were answered. I checked in to make sure she felt secure in her choice to accept the charity’s job offer. We ask all job seekers we help find new jobs the question – “What was the best part of working with us?”. I’m humbled to share Chandika’s response below:

“The genuine care and passion you have in your work. The bags of industry and people knowledge really helped me to get over my previous job situation and become confident enough to land my current role which I cannot thank you enough for!”

It’s a really nice feeling to know my industry knowledge and experience can help someone. I know it’s our job as recruiters to match people with our vacancies but it’s important to me we find the right person. It’s the human bit of our job where I get my personal satisfaction. Getting to know the personal aspects of the individual is what separates us from most recruiters. On this occasion I am delighted we helped Chandika achieve a life goal of working in a charity that contributes to making the world a better place!

“Natasha from clockworkTalent is the most professional and supportive recruiter I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is an expert in recruitment for digital marketing with a streak on intuitiveness that I have never seen before. Throughout looking for a new job Natasha has been there every step of the way which made it much easier and less stressful process as well as making sure I was comfortable with the choices I made. Natasha is genuinely a warm, respectful and passionate person to work with and will make sure you’re well taken care of during your job hunting process. I would definitely recommend working with clockworkTalent if you’re looking for a new role, they’re Fabulous!”
