It’s likely when you’ve finished a recruitment project (having placed successfully got another job seeker hired into a perfect role) you’ll do just what I have done. That is to review the documented timeline and corresponding data to remind you of the specific details, especially when it’s yet another successful hire (this time a SEO Job) for a local, in-house (clientside) opportunity for a brand who has used clockworkTalent’s services 7 times. We’ve expanded the team over the years, adding specialist skills to their now holistic in-house marketing function, most recently growing from 4 to 8 Digital Marketing practitioners!
Whilst in recruitment mode, it’s all about finding the right skills sets within an employer’s commutable circumference AND ensuring that individual lives, eats and breathes the core values and culture of the company. None more so than with this employer, Mind Tools.
Based just outside of Brighton, this international brand with Sussex origins, delivers online management training to both global corporate and individual subscribers whose goals are to achieve personal development. Interestingly, it’s their own product and services which make them as good as they are; taking the best of what is possible and applying it to their own management techniques. In turn creating a relatively unique collaborative environment in a beautiful, modern open-plan office situated in an agricultural venue of converted farm buildings in Mid Sussex.
We worked with Warren to improve his CV so it displayed both his breadth and depth of skills – many of those tips can be found on our popular blog on “How To Write a Great CV”. We edited it down to an eye catching, punchy 2 pages which represented him to his best.
From there, we rapidly set up his 1st interview and from the feedback, it was evident Warren had done his homework.
Not only was he well-versed with his responses to interview questions probing into his technical SEO strategy and skills but he had also clearly done his due diligence into the company’s online presence. Warren understood the extent of their massive site and was able to act as the true consultant looking at the user journey and identifying where he could add value both in short-term wins and longer-term strategy.
